In its third year of uninterrupted success, LBS LATAM will once again bring together the most important players of the region’s industry of location-based services in order to discuss and gather information on challenges and outlooks.

During two intense full-day sessions and a comprehensive exhibit area, participants will enjoy access to exclusive information and content, and they will be able to learn first-hand about new developments on the market.

According to a Juniper Research report, the increase in mobile Internet services and GPS-integrated devices will give LBS services -and the searches related to them- outreach to approximately 1.5 billion users in 2014.


The advertising and marketing industry has already reserved space for these products, though still at a slow pace. According to an ABI Research survey, however, the firms are prepared to invest some 1.8 billion dollars in location-based advertising by 2015.


With industry maturity will come new challenges such as finding detailed, accurate information on websites; providing continuous and up-to-date service; meeting users’ needs and respecting their privacy; and offering clear, user-friendly applications.
